JP Mills
Rare is the person who combines youthful enthusiasm and loads of hands-on experience. JP Mills, a twenty-something bumpkin from Huntingdon, Pa., has an advantage over other performers in that he’s already spent nearly half his life surrounded by the trademark music and flashing lights of live entertainment. JP’s style and flair has set him apart from the crowded scene of musical acts in the central Pennsylvania region. A unique blend of interactive entertainment armed with a musical play list of party favorites is what sets him apart from the norm. The high-energy parties he hosts throughout the State College bar scene have become a staple of the local nightlife. The Centre Daily Times raves, “One of the most refreshing things about Mills’ show is how good it actually is.” From his acoustic act to front-man of local band SPIN to his live DJ shows JP has chosen to do it all for most of his life. Performing live since the age of 11 when he got his shot at DJing in a hometown nightclub, JP has never since let the stage go dark. Shortly after his start, J.P. started Soundsation by J.P. Mills, a Mobile Disc Jockey service that appeared regularly at area school dances and weddings. As a young singer Mills was honored in 1990 with the Outstanding Vocal Performer distinction at the national Music in the Parks competition hosted at Hershey Park in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A summer in the sun was in store for the season of 1996. Accepting the position of Director of Entertainment at Lake Raystown Resort and Lodge (Entriken, Pennsylvania) JP appeared as a singer/choreographer for the Lake Raystown Players while also bringing his acoustic act and disc jockey skills to lake resort aboard the Proud Mary riverboat. A proud Penn State University Alumni, this Nittany Lion has performed throughout State College since 2000. JP’s unique act has garnered him endorsements from companies such as Coors Light, The Sazerac Company promoting Dr. McGillicuddy’s schnapps and his current exclusive relationship with Bacardi USA. Pennsylvania District Manager Jason McConnell compliments, “As a company, we are always impressed with your ability to persuade the audience and captivate the crowds that you draw.” What are you doing tonight? Come out and join the party! |
